Training and Race

Yesterday was a 45.5-mile bike ride. It started out cold and rainy. It really never got less cold (warmer hurr hurr), but it was a great ride. The head wind was a killer, but it was still awesome. Yvette commented that I have gotten stronger since she last rode with me. Well, duh! I'm actually training now that I'm not always emotionally drained and depressed all of the time. I'm looking forward to a strong 2010 season... FINALLY a strong season. You get rid of ONE bad thing, and a lot of good comes your way.

Then, today I ran the Folsom Trail Runners Series in Granite Bay. 11.5-miles, which is the most I've ever run! I did it in 2 hours and 21 minutes, which is a 10.5min/mile pace, so not too awesome. But, I finished under the time that I gave myself (2.5hrs), and I ran with a cold. My cold was worse after I finished, but then I took a nap and felt a bit better. The next race should be a lot better, and my goal is to finish in under 2 hours and 21 minutes.

Here's to training! And more happy days :)

Racing

So, the races I want to do this year:

- X-terra (as long as I get that bike!) March 28
- CIM Marathon
- 4 Bridges Marathon
- 10K Turkey Trot
- Death Ride
- AIDS/Lifecycle as long as I get the funding
- SF Triathlon (?)

I'm sure there will be others. For now, this is the list.
